Also known as pigment or giclée printing, our inkjet printers print with archival pigment-based inks on acid-free paper, producing museum-grade prints that will not fade or yellow on their own and last a lifetime. Photographs, fine art reproductions, and illustrative pieces come out wonderfully on these prints. We can print large images on our 44″ Canon printer.
Each print has a 1″ margin all around that cannot be printed on (2″ from either dimension).
Our pre-cut sheets need a 1 inch white margin all around, so the largest image size we can accept is 2 inches shorter than the sheet on both dimensions. This white margin does not need to be included in the file.
Our rolls has a fixed width, while the length has no limitation. Image can be rotated to best fit the roll. Price is charged by the length. Minimum roll length is 8″. The 1 inch white margin all around that we require is not charged.
Our color-matched laser prints offer vibrant color at high speed and low cost, making them an excellent choice for posters, cards, proofs, books, and magazines. We generate laser prints up to 12″x18″ on plain (normal printer), coated (glossy) and uncoated (copy/matte) paper stocks.
For double-sided printing each side will be charged as a separate print.
Each paper size has a 1/4″ margin all around that cannot be printed on (1/2″ from either dimension).
Since the paper itself has a shine to it, the whole print will be glossy. The paper also has a smoother texture than the copy finish.
The “matte” option for our laser papers. The paper itself isn’t shiny, but any printed areas may still have a slight sheen due to the toner.
You can bring your own paper for a 20% discount. We will need both the weight (lb) and grammage (gsm or g/m2) of the paper when you order. The maximum weight we can print on is 110 lbs and the maximum grammage is 300 lb. The largest we can print is 12″x18″. If it is sticker paper, the paper cannot be pre-cut into smaller sections, such as labels.
Also known as Pop Out Cut, die-cut stickers are cut completely out of the backing so that each design can be handed out individually.
This is the price for just the printing, no cutting or finish included. For full sheets of sticker paper, the printable area is no larger than 7.5″ x 9.5″ and anything outside of that space will not be properly printed/cut. We do not recommend using our sticker paper without any finish applied.
If you bring your own sticker paper to be printed on, make sure it is compatible with Inkjet Printers. You will get 20% off the printing price.
Kiss-cut means the backing is not cut through, so that only the sticker peels off the sheet. This is a good option for stickers that are to be sold in a set.
A storage solution to help you keep some weight off your back. Our lockers are 12″ wide, 35″ tall, and 13″ deep. While they can’t store large art portfolios, they are perfect for keeping art supplies.
Artwork can be professionally scanned at our facility to generate digital images for the web, digital archiving, and printing. Our 12″ x 17″ flatbed scanner is ideal for making high-resolution reproductions or enlargements of artwork of nearly any size. Larger prints may take multiple scans, but the final image will look seamless.
We charge by the number of scans it takes to capture the image if the image needs to be scanned in sections. Our scan bed is 11×17, so larger pieces will require multiple scans to capture. Pieces will be stitched together for you. The final price is determined after the service is done, but we are happy to give you our best guess beforehand.
Our scanning services always come with minor edits such as basic levels adjustments and straightening edges. Further edits including closer color corrections and removing scratches and dust particles will be charged by the hour upon request.
With a sharp and steady knife, we can help you hand cut your artwork down to the exact size you need. For stack cuts with the guillotine we request you allow for a margin of error. We encourage students to cut their own work themselves, and are happy to provide tools and demonstrations for those who need it.
Cutting stacks of 10 – 250 pages all at once. We highly recommend including bleed and crop marks, and request you allow for a margin of error. Maximum final cut size is 11×17. Service is priced by the individual cut, so to trim the margin off all four sides will be $8.00 per stack. Keep in mind the Guillotine can only cut straight through the sheet of paper from edge to edge.
For a more delicate cut job, or for trimming oversized prints to bleed, you can ask our SoA Print staff to hand cut your pieces down one by one to an exact size. Service is priced by the piece, assuming four cuts per finished sheet. Ample time is needed as rush jobs may cause error or injury.
We offer many commonly used supplies in the photo and design majors of Mason. These are meant for purchases in a quick pinch, not for bulk purchases. We also offer supplies to help you transport your prints safely to their destination.
