Dr. Federica Incerti is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Technology and security for the College of Visual & Performing Arts. She received her doctorate in Instructional Technology from Ohio University.

Dr. Incerti is a technologist. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Ceramics and Art History with a minor in Architecture at the beginning of her academic career in Italy. After moving to the United States to learn English, she returned to college and earned a Computer Science degree. While working for the Office of Information Technology at Ohio University as a Computer Programmer and Software Developer, she completed her graduate degrees.

Dr. Incerti started working at Mason University in July 2017.

Research Areas and Interests: Technology in Education, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Smart Technologies,  AI Voice Tutors, Security, and Classroom Technology.
