Kay Hwang is a multidisciplinary artist who works and lives in Great Falls, VA with her family and a rescued dog, Mr.Kite. Past several year, she has been working mostly on Schematic Drawing series on sheets of Denril exploring the idea of building meditative visual unit through very much ordered & calculated profusion of geometric forms.

Her work has been widely exhibited nationwide including Georgia Museum of Fine Arts, Athens, GA; Cheekwood Museum of Art, Nashville, TN; Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, Atlanta, GA; San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, San Angelo, TX; University of Texas, El Paso, TX; Second Street Gallery, Charlottesville, VA; Thatcher Projects, New York, NY; Pentimenti Gallery, Philadelphia, PA; Goya Contemporary, Baltimore, MD.

Hwang’s sculptures and drawings are included in various permanent collections such as at the Georgia Museum of Fine Arts, Athens, GA; Atlanta Hartsfield Airport, International Concourse, Atlanta, GA; Fidelity Investment, Philadelphia, PA; and Comcast, Philadelphia, PA. She has received a numerous grants including Pollack Krasner Foundation Grant and MD State Art Council Individual Artist Grants.
