Drawing on indigenous and self-created rituals, MJ Neuberger’s photographs, installations, sculptural work and social practice explore reconnection with bodies abandoned in intergenerational trauma and colonialism. She is artist in residence at Creative Alliance in Baltimore and, in 2019 and 2020, at Swale House on Governor’s Island. She has presented work at Art Resources Transfer, Gathering of the Tribes and the Nuyorican Poets Café in New York, at exhibitions in Maryland, North Carolina and Indiana and received her BA from Duke University, MS from Columbia University and MFA from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
