Michael McDermott is an Assistant Professor in the School of Art and teaches in the Graphic Design concentration. Prior to starting at George Mason he was a designer at the General Design Co. in Washington DC and still works with them on a freelance basis. He has taught design classes at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Maryland Institute College of Art. When he isn’t working, you might find him riding his bike, working in his makeshift screen printing studio, or just generally enjoying the outdoors. He received his MFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2015 and a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2011.
