Transforming Spaces by Re-Engaging Artistic Imagination

Professor janet e. dandridge will be in conversation with Hershawna Turner of The Aspen Institute for the Community Snapshot series this Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 2pm EDT online. Gonna be a goodie.

Art has long been a tool for social transformation. An important part of activating communities includes gaining a deeper understanding of the essentiality of artists in our local spaces. How can we do better at exploring and uplifting art that impacts social conscience, and appreciating those artists whose life missions are to regenerate the individual and collective psyche? Join community member janet e. dandridge to explore how creative minds and voices in our communities can be uplifted to bring us together, shape culture, and drive movements.

This session will be held from 2-3 pm Eastern time (11 am-12 pm Pacific), with an optional open hour from 3-3:30 pm.

If there are any accommodations our team can provide to ensure a meaningful experience, please let us know at weavehelp@aspeninstitute.org.

A Zoom link will be shared closer to the event date.
