12 Nov Art Education, MAT Virtual Information Session
The School of Art offers a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Art Education which is for students that have already attained an undergraduate degree but are seeking Virginia licensure to teach K-12 Visual Arts in public schools. This graduate Art Education program is designed to meet the needs for preparing future teachers as well as advancing pedagogical and research skills of current art educators in the metropolitan DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. The MAT Art Education Program produces highly qualified art teachers who have been recognized nationally and state-wide as outstanding art educators. MAT students are participants at both the regional and nation-wide art conferences.
